If you set out just to make an all India film, it won’t work,” he explained. He credited director Sukumar for his vision, stating, “Sukumar and Allu Arjun, being best friends, collaborated to shape Pushpa 1. They created a rugged character representing the downtrodden masses, which instantly connected with audiences, especially the common people.”

Verma mentioned that the narrative gets lost in too many directions, leading to struggles in both the pre interval and climax portions. Despite these flaws, the film has its standout moments, with the jatra sequence being a highlight.
