Joint Commissioner Satya Narayan Chaudhary refuted the claim that the intruder demanded ₹1 crore, clarifying that it was a case of theft. Dixit Gedam, DCP Zone 9 of Mumbai Police, confirmed that one suspect involved in the attack has been identified.

“The investigation has revealed that the accused entered the house via the fire escape. So far, it seems to be an attempted burglary. We are working to arrest the suspect quickly. One accused has been identified. He gained access through the staircase, and several teams are pursuing him.
Saif Ali Khan Rushed to Hospital
After the incident, Saif’s staff rushed him to Lilavati Hospital in an auto rickshaw. Dr. Niraj Uttamani, the hospital’s chief operating officer, shared that the actor sustained six injuries, including two deep wounds. Surgery was performed to remove a knife lodged near his spine.

Doctors reported that Saif sustained six injuries—two minor, two moderate, and two severe. One deep injury near his thoracic spine was caused by a knife. “The major injury to the spine resulted in leaking spinal fluid. Surgery was performed to remove the knife and repair the damage,” they explained.
