On his way home, he even discussed it with his father, saying, “She has immense talent. We are still in the writing phase of Hum Aapke Hain Koun, and we need to find the right actress for Nisha.”

However, Rajkumar Barjatya had his reservations, believing that Karisma was too young for the role.
