Actor-model Milind Soman and his wife, Ankita Konwar, attended the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, to celebrate Mauni Amavasya. Amidst the vast sea of devotees, the couple participated in the sacred ritual of taking a holy dip. Milind shared their spiritual experience on social media, expressing his gratitude and also his sorrow over the tragic stampede that recently occurred at the event.

Sharing pictures from their visit to the Maha Kumbh, Milind wrote on Instagram, “Blessed to be at the Mahakumbh with ankita on the auspicious day of Mauni Amavasya! This spiritual experience reminds me of how small and insignificant I am in the vastness of existence, and how every moment we have here is truly special.” He further expressed his sadness, adding, “While my heart is full, I am deeply saddened by the tragic events of last night. My prayers are with the families who lost their loved ones. Har Har Gange! Har Har Mahadev.
Bollywood and Hollywood Celebrities at Maha Kumbh Mela
Alongside Milind Soman and Ankita Konwar, several other prominent figures from Bollywood and Hollywood also took part in the sacred ritual. Coldplay’s lead singer, Chris Martin, along with his girlfriend, actress Dakota Johnson, visited the Maha Kumbh Mela following their concert in Ahmedabad on January 27. Actor Anupam Kher also took a dip in the Triveni Sangam and shared his experience on Instagram, saying, “Life became successful by taking a bath in Ganga at Mahakumbh!! Reached the place where Mother Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati meet for the first time.”
