India’s Got Latent:-A formal complaint has been lodged against YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, comedian Samay Raina, influencer Apoorva Makhija, and the organizers of the show India’s Got Latent. Mumbai Police Visit Studio Amid Controversy

On Monday, a Mumbai Police team visited the Khar studio where the YouTube show India’s Got Latent was filmed. The police action comes in response to the controversy that erupted after Ranveer Allahbadia, a guest on the show, made contentious remarks that sparked public outrage.

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis Responds

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis addressed the controversy, stating, “I have heard about it but haven’t seen it yet. Things have been said and presented in a misleading manner.” He further emphasized, “Everyone has the right to free speech, but that freedom ends when it infringes upon others’ rights. Our society follows certain rules, and if someone breaks them, it is completely wrong. Action should be taken against such violations,” as quoted by ANI.

NCW MP Rekha Sharma Expresses Shock

Former National Commission for Women (NCW) chief and Rajya Sabha MP Rekha Sharma also condemned the remarks, calling the video “extremely disturbing.” She stated, “Whether directed at a male or female, such jokes are never acceptable in society. Making inappropriate comments about a mother or a woman’s body is disrespectful and reflects the moral decline among today’s youth.” She added that she had forwarded the video to the NCW Chairperson for further action.

Shiv Sena Warns Show Producers

The Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena also strongly criticized the remarks made on the show. Party spokesperson Raju Wagamare issued a stern warning to the producers, saying, “In Maharashtra, which upholds the legacy of Shivaji Maharaj, such language will not be tolerated. They must put an end to this immediately, or we will take action in our own way.”
